First setup: pairing with the SeTracker app

You set the watch up once, at home, and it is easier than it sounds as long as the SIM is ready. Follow the steps in order, and if you get stuck we help in Greek.

What to look for

1. A ready SIM

A nano-SIM with data, call minutes and caller ID, PIN off. Test it in a phone first: if mobile internet works and its number shows when it calls, it is ready.

2. App and registration code

Download the app named in the watch manual (SeTracker or SeTracker2), create an account, then scan the watch's QR code or type in its registration code.

3. Contacts and SOS numbers

Add the family numbers and choose who is alerted on SOS. Enter numbers in full, the way you dial them from a mobile.

4. Zones, school hours and location updates

Set safe zones around home and school, the school hours, and how often the location updates. More frequent updates mean a fresher position but more battery use.

Setup tips

  1. Charge the watch fully before you start.
  2. Put the SIM in a phone and switch off the PIN in the security or mobile network settings, under "SIM PIN" or "SIM card lock". Check that mobile data works.
  3. With the watch off, insert the nano-SIM as the manual shows and switch it on. Wait for the mobile signal indicator.
  4. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account and scan the watch's code. When asked, enter the phone number of the watch SIM.
  5. Add contacts and SOS numbers, then set safe zones and school hours.
  6. Run the tests: a call from the watch to you and back, an SOS, and a location refresh from the app.
  7. If your partner or the grandparents should have access too, add them in the app from their own phones.

Good to know before you buy

  • App and watch menus differ a little by model and version. If something does not match these steps, follow the watch manual or ask us.
  • Without active data on the SIM, the app shows the watch as "offline", even if everything else is right.
  • A watch already linked to another account has to be unlinked there first. If a new watch shows that message, contact us.
  • The app account and its data are managed by the app provider (SeTracker). Read its terms and privacy policy before you sign up.

Questions parents ask

Where do I find the watch's registration code?

Depending on the model, the QR or registration code is on a sticker on the watch or the box, or shown in one of the watch menus. If you cannot find it, message us with your model.

The app shows the watch as offline. What do I do?

Check in order: does the SIM have data and credit? Is the PIN off? Does the watch show mobile signal? Then switch the watch off and on and wait a few minutes. If it persists, it may need an APN setting for your operator; contact us and we will do it together.

Location works but calls do not. Why?

Location only needs data, while calls need minutes and, on many 4G watches, VoLTE (voice over 4G) switched on. Ask your operator whether the SIM has both, and check the numbers are entered correctly in the watch contacts.

Can both parents use the app?

Yes, several family members can link to the same watch, each from their own phone. The steps differ a little by app version; if you get stuck, we will guide you.

Does the watch need to be near my phone?

No. The watch has its own SIM and connects straight to the mobile network; it does not pair to your phone over Bluetooth. Your child can be at school while you are at work.
