Frequently Asked Questions

SIM card, app, battery, warranty and delivery: the questions parents ask us most.

Yes. Wonlex 4G watches need a nano-SIM with mobile data and caller ID switched on, plus voice minutes if you want calls. The SIM is not included: you use your own prepaid or contract SIM, so there is no subscription to us. Remove the SIM PIN on a phone before you put it in the watch.
The watches use the 4G network, so a SIM from a Greek operator such as Cosmote, Vodafone or Nova with mobile data is what you need. Ask your operator that the plan includes data and caller ID. If you are unsure about your SIM, send us a message before you order and we will check it with you.
Wonlex watches are managed from the free SeTracker or SeTracker2 app for iPhone and Android, depending on the model. You scan the registration code of the watch, then add contacts, safe zones and school hours. We send setup instructions in Greek with every watch and help by phone or message if you get stuck.
Yes. Prepaid and contract SIMs from Cosmote, Vodafone or Nova both work, as long as the SIM has mobile data, call minutes and caller ID. Like every prepaid SIM in Greece, it is registered to its holder, so a parent usually takes it out in their own name. Remember to top it up: when the credit runs out, the watch stops sending its location.
On many 4G watches, voice calls run over VoLTE (voice over 4G). If the location shows normally in the app but calls do not connect, ask your operator whether the SIM and plan have VoLTE switched on. For your specific model, ask us.
It depends on how often the location updates and how many video calls are made. We do not yet have confirmed measurements per model, so check the usage in your operator's app after the first week and pick a plan with some headroom.
No. The watch is a separate device and needs its own nano-SIM with its own number. That is the number you call to talk to your child.
Yes. Several family members can link to the same watch from their own phones. Keep the list short and check from time to time who has access. Our first-setup guide explains the steps.
If the SIM has roaming switched on, the watch can work in other EU countries, where "roam like at home" applies. Ask your operator before you travel, because coverage and network bands differ from country to country.
Outdoors the watch uses GPS and is usually accurate to a few metres to a few tens of metres. Indoors, where GPS does not reach, it falls back to nearby Wi-Fi networks and mobile cells (LBS), which are less precise. The position updates at the interval you choose in the app, and you can ask for a fresh position at any time.
It depends on the model and on how the watch is used: video calls and frequent location updates use the most power. Most families charge the watch every evening, like a phone. We will add the battery capacity of each model to its page once Wonlex confirms it.
Water resistance differs between models: some Wonlex watches are rated IP67, others are splash-resistant only. Check the specifications on each product page. In any case, no kids watch should be worn for swimming, in the bath or in hot water.
You decide. In the app you add the contacts that can call the watch, and you can block calls from numbers that are not on the list. The child can only call the contacts you have added. This is one reason the SIM needs caller ID.
No. The watch has its own SIM and connects straight to the mobile network; it does not pair to a phone over Bluetooth. Your child can be at school while you are at work.
A long press on SOS calls the emergency contacts you set in the app, one after another, and sends you the watch's location. It does not call 112 or a monitoring centre, so choose contacts who always pick up.
You set school hours in the app and the watch goes quiet: no games and no incoming calls, while the SOS button keeps working. Outside those hours it works as normal.
Every school has its own rules on electronic devices, so ask the teacher or head first. With class mode, the watch stays quiet during lessons.
Yes, three: the KT17S (touchscreen, Greek menu, video calls, fall detection, medication reminders), the 4G SOS watch (one big SOS button, SMS with the location, fall detection, no phone needed) and the S10 (SOS, GPS and indicative health readings; COSMOTE SIM only). None is a medical device or a substitute for 112 or a monitored alarm service.
